This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and source prospective clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
• Market and sell services related to genomics, immunochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry.
• Present and advocate for research services and solutions.
• Organize strategic meetings between senior scientific leaders of clients and Company executives.
• Work alongside scientific subject matter experts (SMEs) to secure sales contracts.
• Showcase and assess client projects in collaboration with procurement, scientific leadership, and partners.
• Maintain a pipeline consisting of 25–50+ active opportunities and oversee the Feasibility case queue.
• Drive calls and secure business by establishing and following through on clear next steps.
• Utilize logic, reasoning, and scientific insight to finalize deals.
• Provide market intelligence through documentation of sales calls and client feedback.
• Collaborate with inside sales support, Global Account Managers, fellow Business Development Directors, Marketing, and Feasibility teams.
• Prepare client reports as necessary.
• Uphold the confidentiality of personal information.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• At least five (5) years of experience in business development sales, specifically in genomics, immunohistochemistry (IHC), or flow cytometry services.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An MS or PhD is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Formal sales training is preferred.
• A team-oriented mindset and a strong desire to achieve Commercial Team and company objectives.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
