This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.
• Lead, coach, and cultivate a team of Relationship Managers tasked with client retention, revenue enhancement, contract renewals, and customer satisfaction within a designated portfolio.
• Set performance standards and deliver continuous coaching, mentoring, and developmental support.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal partners to strengthen executive-level client relationships and facilitate strategic account planning.
• Act as a point of escalation for critical client issues and ensure timely resolutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Propel portfolio objectives concerning revenue growth, retention, renewals, and customer satisfaction through effective account planning and pipeline management.
• Assist in formulating contract negotiation and renewal strategies alongside sales, product, and solution consulting teams.
• Assess team and portfolio performance via established metrics to identify risks, refine processes, and enhance customer experience.
• Work with senior leadership on business strategy, workforce planning, and relationship management initiatives.
• 8+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, sales, banking, financial services, or financial technology, with a focus on client retention, revenue growth, and strategic account oversight.
• 3+ years of experience in managing and developing teams, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
• 8+ years of experience facilitating complex business discussions with executive stakeholders and managing strategic client relationships within financial institutions or related sectors.
• Proven experience in supporting contract negotiations, renewal strategies, and consultative selling across a client portfolio.
• Strong analytical skills to assess portfolio performance, interpret business trends, and leverage data to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable plans.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present effectively to executive-level stakeholders and engage with internal and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience, and/or military service.
• Experience in leading relationship management or account management teams within the financial services or financial technology sectors.
• Familiarity with core banking platforms and operations of financial institutions.
• Background in supporting community and regional financial institutions.
• Proficient in customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce or similar enterprise platforms.
• Must currently hold valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization; candidates needing sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered.
• Frequent travel required (25%+).
• Must be capable of using a computer and audio equipment.
