This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical architecture and continuous optimization of all ecommerce and web platforms across Valerie brands.

• Spearhead Shopify development while also providing support for other web platforms, CMS solutions, and landing page technologies.

• Oversee website infrastructure, including hosting, domains, CDN, and deployment processes.

• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the platform.

• Maintain platform documentation, development standards, and governance.

• Create scalable frontend and backend solutions utilizing Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and modern development frameworks.

• Develop and sustain integrations with third-party platforms, APIs, payment gateways, and business systems.

• Manage technical SEO, website performance, and Core Web Vitals across all ecommerce platforms.

• Conduct technical audits, migrations, and enhancements to the platform.

• Monitor website health, uptime, and platform reliability.

• Implement structured data, accessibility (WCAG), and technical best practices.

• Develop and maintain integrations between Shopify, CRM, ERP, payment gateways, and third-party applications.

• Support API integrations and middleware solutions.

• Enhance platform automation and operational efficiency.

• Oversee website analytics implementation, including GA4, GTM, and ecommerce tracking.

• Boost website conversion through CRO and experimentation.

• Construct scalable tracking frameworks across all digital properties.

• Act as the technical lead for Platform, Web, and Ecommerce Engineering.

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Mentor developers and lead code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical problem-solving.

• Assess emerging web technologies and platform improvements.

• Propel automation in web development and platform operations.

• Advocate for AI-assisted development.

• Suggest enhancements in website architecture, performance, and developer productivity.

• Collaborate with the Product team to identify AI opportunities within website development, ecommerce operations, content delivery, testing, analytics, and customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in Shopify and ecommerce development.

• Strong full-stack development expertise with Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Next.js, HTML, CSS, and APIs.

• Demonstrated experience leading Shopify builds, customizations, and migrations.

• Solid understanding of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and website performance optimization.

• Experience with GA4, GTM, and ecommerce tracking implementation.

• Proficient in Git, code reviews, and modern development workflows.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to independently make technical decisions.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience managing multiple web platforms and CMS solutions.

• Strong knowledge of website architecture, hosting, DNS, and CDN technologies.

• Profound understanding of REST APIs and platform integrations.

• Experience in implementing CRO and experimentation tools.

• Familiarity with managing Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, or similar infrastructures.

• Understanding of web security best practices.

• Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) standards.

• Experience supporting multiple brands and websites simultaneously.

• Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or other CMS platforms is a plus.
