Director, Advisory Services

📋 Description

• Act as a relationship manager and a reliable strategic advisor for designated financial institution clients.

• Oversee the overall strategic relationship by integrating capital, liquidity, interest rate risk, asset allocation, funding, and other balance sheet factors.

• Convey investment and balance sheet strategies to clients effectively.

• Ensure a seamless client onboarding process and provide an outstanding ongoing client experience.

• Facilitate regular client meetings, ALCO presentations, and annual on-site visits.

• Maintain steady engagement with clients.

• Coordinate internal specialized resources, such as Portfolio Strategy.

• Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships through strategic counsel and specialized capabilities.

• Educate clients on economic, regulatory, and balance sheet trends.

• Engage in client education, industry speaking opportunities, and content development.

• Travel for client meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, and business development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a role focused on depository institutions.

• Proven client-facing experience with financial institutions.

• Extensive knowledge of the banking business model.

• Profound understanding of credit risk, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, capital, funding, and earnings factors.

• Capability to design and execute capital allocation and balance sheet strategies that align with client goals and risk tolerance.

• Understanding of the roles of investment portfolios within the broader balance sheet context.

• Familiarity with hedging applications pertinent to financial institutions.

• Comprehensive grasp of banking regulations.

• Ability to translate complex market and balance sheet information into actionable insights.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

• Skill in simplifying intricate financial concepts into clear strategic advice.

• Sound judgment and capacity to determine when specialized expertise is necessary.

• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

• Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

• Capable of presenting information and addressing inquiries from managers, clients, and team members.

• Willingness to travel domestically.

• Capability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
