Director, Accident Reconstruction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of experts in accident reconstruction.

• Supervise project implementation, ensuring high-quality work, excellent client service, and timely deliverables.

• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for both new and repeat business.

• Support business development initiatives, including conferences, networking, and engagement within the industry.

• Ensure that workload is distributed evenly across the team.

• Conduct field investigations and document collision scenes utilizing advanced forensic technology.

• Analyze vehicle damage alongside related crash data.

• Process 3D scan files and evidence for reconstruction.

• Collaborate with technical specialists to develop collision models and visualizations.

• Execute crash simulations using reconstruction software.

• Apply engineering analysis to ascertain speeds, forces, and vehicle dynamics.

• Coordinate with clients to arrange site visits and fulfill project deliverables.

• Create comprehensive reports detailing the accident reconstruction process, findings, and conclusions.

• Provide clients with reports to assist in identifying contributory factors of an accident.

• Review reports and deliverables to guarantee accuracy, quality, and consistency.

• Research papers and journals pertaining to vehicular accident reconstruction to enhance scientific reconstruction methodologies.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

• Over 15 years of experience in biomechanics, accident reconstruction, premises liability, or a related field.

• Possession of a PE license, ACTAR certification, and/or SAE certification.

• Advanced knowledge in collision dynamics, including impact and departure speeds, forces, and trajectories.

• Strong foundation in automotive engineering and control systems.

• Extensive experience collaborating with insurance carriers, attorneys, and/or adjusters.

• Proficient in performing computer simulations.

• Highly skilled in CAD software.

• Previous experience with deposition and courtroom testimony.

• Willingness to travel to remote site locations as necessary.
