Digital Technology Specialist – Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop small modules, extensive components, features, feature sets, or entire feature areas.

• Collaborate with Architects, Data Scientists, Business stakeholders, and Product Managers to capture system-level requirements.

• Define work scope, provide preliminary estimates, and support those estimates with factual justification.

• Utilize knowledge of the Agile software development lifecycle.

• Participate in technical discussions, engage in technical designs, and convey technical ideas through whiteboarding.

• Work alongside peers in a dynamic technical design and development team.

• Lead a team of 2 to 3 developers in planning, executing, and/or designing architecture using Agile methodologies like Scrum.

• Deliver tasks promptly in a fast-paced environment to achieve product release objectives.

• Uphold code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code-quality automation.

• Offer and receive constructive feedback on design and development processes.

• Apply domain expertise and maintain a customer-centric approach.

• Assist with build, release, and deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical experience in backend/frontend development for Web/Cloud applications.

• Previous experience in deploying applications on Azure/AWS utilizing microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with Docker/containerization.

• Expertise in backend development with TypeScript, Node.js, and Angular.

• Proficient in MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Practical experience with session management, caching, algorithms, data structures, and secure coding practices.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, web servers, and RESTful web services.

• Hands-on experience with AMQP/MQTT and message brokers like RabbitMQ/Kafka.

• Adaptability to learn and develop in any necessary language, technology, or tool.

• Strong understanding of application and infrastructure architecture along with non-functional aspects such as performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.

• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in OOPS, best practices, refactoring, maintainable/reusable code, design principles and patterns, architecture, TDD, unit testing, debugging, and automation.

• Ability to decompose problems and estimate development task durations.

• Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
