This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Take ownership of the commercial success of GCG’s digital storefront, focusing on online revenue, gross margin, conversion, qualified lead generation, customer adoption, retention, engagement, and overall site performance.
• Create and implement strategies aimed at increasing digital revenue through product range, merchandising, pricing, inventory visibility, and the purchasing experience.
• Enhance Buy Now and Request for Quote pathways via funnel analysis, customer behavior insights, A/B testing, and experimentation.
• Boost digital lead generation through optimized landing pages, forms, product inquiry experiences, and the Contact an Expert pathways.
• Establish, track, and communicate key performance indicators.
• Oversee public and customer-specific online pricing in collaboration with commercial and functional teams.
• Collaborate with Sales to promote the adoption of online ordering, account management, and Request for Quote tools.
• Formulate strategies for onboarding, retention, re-engagement, reorder processes, loyalty, and account-based incentives.
• Provide tailored digital experiences, including contract pricing, account-specific product visibility, order history, reorder tools, and product suggestions.
• Manage the quality and commercial effectiveness of the digital product catalog.
• Spearhead digital product launches from setup through content development, pricing coordination, category placement, search visibility, and launch readiness.
• Enhance product discovery and increase basket size through improved taxonomy, navigation, filters, search optimization, product ranking, cross-selling, and upselling strategies.
• Supervise storefront performance, availability, and customer-facing functionalities.
• Act as the primary business administrator for the Optimizely B2B Commerce platform.
• Drive the identification, prioritization, testing, and resolution of platform issues.
• Collaborate with Information Technology, developers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure platform stability, integrations, data quality, security, and fraud prevention.
• Convert digital priorities into actionable requirements, project plans, development tickets, testing plans, launch activities, and measurable outcomes.
• Build partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Information Technology, product teams, and external platform partners.
• Report on digital-store performance, customer trends, commercial opportunities, platform risks, and priorities to senior leadership.
• Coach, lead, and develop team members.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in ecommerce, digital commerce, digital merchandising, or a related field.
• Proven track record of owning or significantly influencing digital revenue, conversion rates, qualified lead generation, customer engagement, or ecommerce growth.
• Experience in managing a digital storefront or ecommerce platform, including product catalog management, pricing, merchandising, search, navigation, checkout, Request for Quote workflows, or user experience.
• Strong grasp of ecommerce performance metrics.
• Experience in translating digital and transactional data into actionable insights.
• Solid understanding of product catalog structure, product attributes, taxonomy, onsite search, navigation, product-detail pages, and related ecommerce operations.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional efforts with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Information Technology, Customer Service, or related teams.
• Ability to effectively lead people while also contributing directly to platform, merchandising, analytical, and operational tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and execution capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently, take initiative, develop practical solutions, and achieve measurable results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience (preferred).
• Experience in a business-to-business ecommerce environment or with technical, industrial, electrical, wire and cable, automation, connectivity, or distribution products (preferred).
• Familiarity with Optimizely B2B Commerce or a similar enterprise ecommerce platform (preferred).
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, customer relationship management platforms, product information management tools, analytics platforms, and third-party ecommerce integrations (preferred).
• Background in managing customer-specific pricing, contract pricing, complex product catalogs, Request for Quote workflows, or account-based digital commerce experiences (preferred).
• Awareness of experimentation, A/B testing, customer cohort analysis, digital personalization, automated reorder programs, loyalty strategies, and customer re-engagement workflows (preferred).
• Experience collaborating with development teams or external agencies through formal ticketing, prioritization, testing, and release-management processes (preferred).
