This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Evaluate apprentices based on the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours for Data Technician Level 3, Data Analyst Level 4, Digital Support Technician Level 3, and Machine Learning Level 6 standards.
• Carry out assessments including projects, professional discussions, mock professional discussions, and observations.
• Deliver precise and timely assessment decisions.
• Offer clear, constructive feedback to apprentices.
• Work alongside Learner Support Coaching to assess learner readiness for formal evaluations.
• Coordinate with the IQA team regarding the sampling and validation of assessment outcomes.
• Keep accurate assessment records in line with IQA guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to Assessment Organisation, DfE, IQA, safeguarding, Prevent duty, data protection, and organizational requirements.
• Implement principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion during assessments.
• Guarantee learner inclusion throughout the assessment process.
• Stay updated on current occupational knowledge of data and AI roles and tools.
• Engage in continuous professional development in data and assessment practices.
• Maintain communication with apprentices and colleagues.
• Take part in standardization activities.
• Organize working days around outcomes, projects, and business needs.
• Occasionally adjust working hours to accommodate clients in various time zones.
• Report to the Quality & Curriculum Assurance Manager.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in assessing data or digital apprenticeship standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Familiarity with AI tools.
• Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, CAVA, or equivalent).
• Data-driven and proactive, utilizing insights to shape strategy, assess impact, and encourage continuous improvement.
• IQA qualification is preferred.
• A degree or professional qualification related to data or analytics is desirable.
• Experience with EPA assessments is a plus.
• Proficient in Advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Proficient in Python.
• Competent in using AI tools and AI automation.
• Understanding of GDPR and data governance.
• Familiarity with Level 3, Level 4, and Level 6 apprenticeship standards.
• Current occupational knowledge of data and AI roles and tools.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication skills with apprentices and colleagues.
• Compliance with safeguarding, Prevent duty, and data protection regulations.
• Successful candidates must complete a DBS check; an Enhanced DBS check with a barred list check is required if the role meets regulated activity criteria.
• Two professional references from an HR department, current or previous manager, or a senior individual in the organization.
• Availability during working hours of 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday UK time, with occasional flexibility for other time zones.
• 33 days of leave annually, including bank holidays.
• An additional day of leave for each year of service after the first 2 years, up to a maximum of 8 days.
• Office closure for two full weeks during Christmas at Decoded's discretion, not deducted from holiday allowance.
