This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the market share, client portfolio, and growth objectives for Antech's veterinary diagnostics solutions.
• Promote, sell, and provide support for Reference Lab services, In-house Diagnostics, Telemedicine solutions, and Imaging systems.
• Develop and execute territory coverage strategies and quarterly sales plans.
• Conduct 85% or more of sales meetings in-person with animal hospitals, veterinarians, and their staff.
• Enhance revenue by acquiring new accounts, upgrading existing clients, and fostering account growth.
• Drive sales through the finalization of business contracts while adhering to sales operation approvals.
• Deliver product training, education, consultation, support, and services during staff in-services and veterinarian seminars.
• Assess customer requirements and suggest suitable products and services.
• Manage territory-related expenses, contracts, renewals, and new business ventures.
• Establish and sustain relationships with referral sources.
• Collaborate effectively with Inside Sales, Customer Success Representatives, Equipment Specialists, Regional Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Share insights on competitive market trends with regional and senior leadership.
• Research customers prior to site visits to customize messaging and foresee potential challenges.
• Keep Salesforce CRM and other system records up to date.
• Identify, target, negotiate, and secure new business prospects.
• Organize customer support activities and daily meetings.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with existing clients.
• Complete daily forecasts and CRM updates promptly.
• Stay informed about competitive dynamics within diagnostics and animal healthcare.
• Protect company assets and adhere to Mars and Antech policies.
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Health, Biological Sciences, Lab Sciences, or a related business field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in field sales.
• Experience in Veterinary Diagnostics is preferred.
• Proven track record of high sales performance in prospecting, pre-call planning, and closing deals.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and consultative sales abilities.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and customer management systems like Salesforce.
• Quick adaptability to new sales-support technologies.
• Strong sales and closing capabilities.
• Ability to cultivate strong client relationships and foster loyalty.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in team settings.
• Skill in closing new business deals within short sales cycles.
• Competence in executing sales strategies in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to train colleagues on sales processes, collateral, systems, and resources.
• Proficiency in leveraging data to identify regional high-priority opportunities.
• Strong logical reasoning, computer, and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle recurring and ad hoc tasks effectively.
• Capability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication skills in person, over the phone, and via video conferencing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be insurable and possess a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel by vehicle up to 85% within the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
• Ability to drive for up to 4 consecutive hours; overnight travel is required.
