DevOps / Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Ensure all services on AWS are operational by managing the infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code through CDK.

• Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions with deployments to AWS.

• Provide daily support to developers on feature environments, replicating the AWS architecture for functionality testing.

• Establish an observability and monitoring system from scratch, including metrics, SLI, SLO, dashboards, and alerts.

• Define standards that enable developers to independently monitor their features.

• Contribute to architectural decisions on AWS and the design and configuration of new services.

• Collaborate with developers in managing Tundr's event-driven system.

• Work alongside the individual who built the infrastructure, sharing responsibility.

• Participate in the Platform team focusing on the architecture of the entire product in collaboration with backend developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-8 years of experience, with a significant portion in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role on a production product.

• Strong knowledge of AWS and its managed services.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK or similar tools like Terraform).

• Proven experience in managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Concrete experience in observability and monitoring (metrics, alerting, dashboards, SLI/SLO).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.

• Good command of the Italian language.

• Experience with serverless architectures on AWS: Lambda, ECS on Fargate, DynamoDB, Aurora, API Gateway, SQS, Cognito.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions.

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

• Knowledge of Go.

• Experience in startup or scale-up environments, working on a mature product with numerous clients and data management needs.

• Interest in fintech or payment contexts.

• Willingness to work autonomously and closely collaborate with developers.

• Availability to work in a remote setting with direct and synchronous interaction with the team.
