DevOps Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment workflows across development, testing, and production environments.

• Develop secure and scalable cloud platform capabilities utilizing infrastructure-as-code, container platforms, and automation tools.

• Ensure platform reliability, observability, access controls, secrets management, and operational readiness.

• Collaborate with software engineers to enhance developer experience, improve deployment efficiency, and ensure repeatability in releases.

• Establish and uphold DevSecOps controls throughout build, deployment, scanning, monitoring, and incident response workflows.

• Oversee containers, orchestration platforms, artifact repositories, and shared runtime services.

• Diagnose environment, pipeline, and deployment challenges; assist in root cause analysis and service restoration.

• Contribute to platform standards, runbooks, technical documentation, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Facilitate change management, patching, upgrades, and operational governance for shared services.

• Work with architects and leadership to ensure platform evolution aligns with future delivery requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.

• Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.

• Proficient in AWS, containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Understanding of security controls, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance-driven platform engineering.

• Experience in supporting shared environments, release automation, and operational support for enterprise-grade applications.

• Familiarity with Linux systems, scripting, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting production-related issues.

• Strong collaborative skills across engineering, QA, security, and program leadership teams.

• Capability to document technical processes and operational procedures succinctly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Eligibility to obtain a Government clearance.

• Selected candidates must complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check.
