DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mauritius.

📋 Description

• Design, expand, and manage infrastructure utilizing automation and configuration management tools.

• Collaborate closely with development and security teams to create and implement resilient, scalable services.

• Oversee service health, react to incidents, and guarantee high availability and optimal performance.

• Establish continuous integration and delivery pipelines for effective and dependable deployments.

• Perform post-incident analyses and introduce preventive strategies.

• Enhance system performance through capacity planning methodologies.

• Connect development and operations by employing software engineering principles to address service uptime and performance challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong comprehension of cloud and infrastructure security, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response.

• Solid experience in Linux/Unix administration.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or similar programming languages.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of Terraform, Helm charts, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.

• Acquaintance with ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance standards.

• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices.

• A problem-solving approach centered on reliability and availability.

• Must currently reside in Mauritius.
