This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and lead strategies and tactics for fundraising and development initiatives.

• Oversee the planning and execution of Walk to End Lupus Now events, focusing on recruitment, corporate sponsorships, fundraising, and the development of committee and volunteer leadership.

• Manage the planning and execution of Lupus & You Empowerment Conferences, which includes securing sponsorships, venues, speakers, physician partnerships, communications, and recruitment efforts.

• Cultivate relationships with key volunteers, participants, corporate partners, sponsors, and community leaders.

• Meet assigned revenue targets by fostering and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, constituents, sponsors, donors, committees, corporate entities, and community partners.

• Act as the lead Development staff member to drive revenue generation and growth opportunities for fundraising and educational events.

• Establish the LFA's presence within the designated geographic area and develop connections for future support and engagement.

• Maintain comprehensive, timely, and accurate databases of engagement information, sponsorship, grant, and gift acknowledgments.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve financial market goals.

• Work collaboratively with Care Support & Services, Research, Marketing & Communications, Advocacy & Government Relations, and Development & Fundraising departments.

• Report to the Southeast Division Vice President.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in special event fundraising and relationship development.

• Strong experience in volunteer recruitment and management.

• Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising, nonprofit management, strategic planning, financial management, and market development skills.

• Exceptional relationship development skills.

• Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

• Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills.

• Competence in handling diverse assignments.

• Ability to engage with all levels of staff and volunteers.

• Capability to leverage relationships and negotiate agreements effectively.

• Outstanding written, oral, and communication skills.

• Strong active listening, observation, analytical, problem recognition, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, make judgments, and take the initiative.

• Well-disciplined and self-motivated.

• Background in Volunteer Health Agency is desirable.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

• Dedicated home office or workspace equipped with reliable internet connectivity.

• Ability to interact with individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

• Background checks are mandatory.

• LFA participates in E-Verify.
