Development Analyst – Early Career

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the coordination of projects throughout Fervo's development pipeline, including those driven by partnerships.

• Aid in managing timelines, deliverables, and milestones among internal teams and external collaborators.

• Maintain project trackers and organize collaborative workstreams across various parties and functions.

• Prepare status updates and materials for partner meetings as well as internal leadership reviews.

• Identify scheduling risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and facilitate their resolution.

• Support the structuring, evaluation, and negotiation of development transactions and multi-party agreements.

• Create term sheet comparisons, deal summaries, and materials to support decision-making.

• Develop and sustain models that quantify the commercial, financial, and risk implications of various deal structures.

• Monitor open commercial issues and coordinate efforts among legal, finance, and development teams.

• Conduct research on markets, counterparties, regulatory frameworks, transmission processes, and integrated resource planning.

• Assist in due diligence efforts related to new opportunities and partnerships.

• Distill complex information into actionable findings and recommendations.

• Help design, build, and enhance internal tools, trackers, and dashboards for managing Fervo's development pipeline.

• Standardize the capture and reporting of pipeline data, deliverables, and milestones.

• Convert team workflows into repeatable, structured processes and the necessary supporting tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, environmental studies, or a related discipline.

• Relevant professional experience or internships, with a preference for candidates having up to three years of experience.

• Proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial or data modeling gained through coursework, internships, or projects.

• An interest in the electricity sector and power markets; prior coursework or internship experience in this area is advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.

• Highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
