This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as a reliable technical advisor for research laboratories, recognizing and expediting high-impact workloads by incorporating NVIDIA's frameworks, libraries, and core software stack into research initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and map the research ecosystem to pinpoint institutional growth potentials and guide long-term technology strategies.
• Keep abreast of research publications across related fields to foresee emerging trends and offer technical guidance on future collaborative areas.
• Work collaboratively across teams with Research Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Development to enhance researcher support.
• Build stronger relationships with lab staff, gaining insight into interpersonal dynamics and the comprehensive scope of ongoing research.
• Participate in domain-specific scientific conferences and facilitate NVIDIA's involvement alongside other subject matter experts.
• Advocate for researchers internally by turning academic feedback into actionable insights that inform product development, educational initiatives, and platform roadmaps.
• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Computational Science, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent experience reflecting similar research depth.
• More than 4 years of experience in research or industry, demonstrating a successful track record of promoting innovation at the intersection of AI and Science.
• In-depth knowledge in the application of AI, encompassing Generative AI and Physical AI, within a specific scientific domain.
• A broad intellectual base to translate AI advancements across disciplines such as Materials Science, Physics, and complex scientific workflows.
• Strong comprehension of cutting-edge research challenges in AI and computational science.
• Practical experience in constructing or assessing AI systems utilizing modern frameworks, model APIs, orchestration tools, retrieval systems, and sandboxed execution for research-grade implementations.
• Established research credibility shown through high-impact publications, contributions to open-source scientific software, or successful partnerships with academic/national laboratories.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA technologies and platforms, including CUDA, CUDA-X libraries, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, NIM, NeMo/Nemotron, BioNeMo, cuQuantum, Omniverse, Isaac, RAPIDS, TensorRT, Triton Inference Server, or DGX/accelerated computing systems.
• Established connections with leading academic laboratories, research institutes, national labs, or significant open-source research communities.
• Proven ability to translate cutting-edge research into demonstrations, reference architectures, workshops, technical content, or developer enablement programs.
• Experience speaking at academic conferences, research workshops, technical summits, or events aimed at universities.
• Capability to identify emerging research trends and transform them into strategic collaboration opportunities, platform adoption, and ecosystem expansion.
