This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of positioning, documentation, quick starts, and samples within LottieFiles’ developer ecosystem.
• Address AI generation interfaces and agent integrations, including tools akin to MCP-style.
• Deliver and oversee the initial user journey ensuring developers achieve clear early success independently.
• Enhance open-source and developer visibility through README files, examples, launch announcements, GitHub repositories, package registries, and developer directories.
• Create and distribute documentation and developer content across package pages, registries, MCP registries, GitHub, and technical communities.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure API accuracy, documentation integrity, and an optimal developer experience.
• Report bugs and address documentation discrepancies directly.
• Monitor and report on developer activation metrics, including documentation usage, initial success rates, and adoption of open-source tools.
• Advocate for internal adoption by motivating LottieFiles engineers to utilize the company’s developer tools.
• Contribute to shaping strategy, positioning, and messaging, transforming these elements into tangible outputs.
• Over 5 years of experience in developer marketing, developer experience, or product marketing related to developer tools, APIs, SDKs, or open-source projects.
• A portfolio showcasing your past deliverables.
• Proficient in coding to the extent of building samples, reviewing pull requests, and correcting faulty quick starts.
• Exceptional written English skills for creating documentation, README files, launch announcements, and technical community content.
• Proven experience in launching or expanding an open-source project or developer platform.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers as an equal partner.
• Remote-friendly, ideally with overlapping hours in Asia and Europe.
• Bonus: experience in design systems, motion/animation, web graphics, or AI-assisted developer tools.
• Bonus: familiarity with AI developer tools, agent ecosystems, or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Bonus: successful developer launches featured on Hacker News, Reddit, or similar developer forums.
