Developer Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for Zyte at developer conferences, meetups, community events, podcasts, webinars, and other relevant industry gatherings.

• Discover and assess speaking, sponsorship, partnership, and community engagement opportunities that align with Zyte’s objectives.

• Create and deliver captivating conference presentations, technical workshops, live demonstrations, webinars, and contributions to panels, including participation at Extract Summit.

• Establish and nurture relationships with developers, community leaders, event organizers, technology partners, and external advocates.

• Expand a network of independent advocates and assist them in sharing their experiences with Zyte, Scrapy, and web data extraction.

• Consistently interact with developers across social media channels, forums, events, and relevant technical communities.

• Produce written content, videos, presentations, demonstrations, and code samples that facilitate the adoption and integration of Zyte’s tools by developers.

• Demonstrate effective strategies for addressing web scraping and data extraction challenges.

• Author technical articles for Zyte’s blog and pertinent third-party publications.

• Recognize opportunities for Zyte to engage with and collaborate within developer and open-source communities.

• Advocate for the developer perspective within the marketing team and throughout the broader organization.

• Identify chances to enhance developer documentation and contribute directly to those improvements.

• Regularly post content tailored for a developer audience on Zyte’s social channels.

• Measure the impact of events, speaking engagements, partnerships, and community activities, using insights gained to inform future initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in developer advocacy, community engagement, or similar technical roles, with a proven established following.

• In-depth understanding of web technologies, APIs, web scraping, and data extraction.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python.

• A keen interest in web data extraction.

• A strong passion for supporting developers and enhancing their experiences.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with some experience in public speaking.

• Proven experience in community engagement, social media interaction, and blogging is essential.

• A background in community building and event hosting is advantageous.

• Self-motivated, independent, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Strong collaborator and team player.

• Experience with Scrapy, headless browsers, and web scraping is beneficial but not mandatory.
