Detection Engineer, German-speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and analyze the current Sekoia/SIEM configuration critically.

• Examine connected data sources to identify and address pertinent gaps.

• Assess current detection rules, use cases, and incidents.

• Set a baseline for case volume, processing efforts, and the rate of false positives at the beginning of the project.

• Determine the reasons behind high manual analysis efforts.

• Enhance detection logic, prioritization, and overall case quality.

• Design and implement additional data enrichment strategies.

• Identify and execute significant integrations.

• Develop or further enhance detection capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with SIEM and detection engineering.

• Familiarity with SOC processes and incident triage.

• Experience with SOAR and security automation.

• Strong understanding of security data sources and integrations, especially regarding identity, AWS cloud, and SaaS.

• Detection engineering experience based on MITRE ATT&CK.

• Proficient in versioned, traceable maintenance of detections.

• Experience with Sekoia is preferred.

• Detection-as-Code experience is an advantage.

• A hands-on approach and the capability to work independently.

• Ability to critically assess existing setups and implement practical improvements.

• Eagerness and ability to actively share knowledge.

• Proficient in German.
