Detection Engineer, German-speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct a thorough review and evaluation of the current Sekoia/SIEM configuration.

• Assess connected data sources to pinpoint and address any pertinent gaps.

• Review existing detection rules, use cases, and incidents.

• Establish an initial baseline for case volume, processing efforts, and the false positive rate at the project's inception.

• Identify the underlying causes of significant manual analysis workloads.

• Enhance detection logic, prioritize effectively, and improve case quality.

• Design and implement additional data enrichment strategies.

• Identify and execute worthwhile integrations.

• Develop or further refine detection capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with SIEM and detection engineering.

• Familiarity with SOC processes and incident triage.

• Experience with SOAR and security automation tools.

• Strong understanding of security data sources and integrations, especially in identity management, AWS cloud, and SaaS.

• Proficiency in detection engineering based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Experience in maintaining detections with version control and traceability.

• Familiarity with Sekoia is preferred.

• Experience with Detection-as-Code is an advantage.

• A hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.

• Capability to critically assess existing setups and implement practical enhancements.

• Eagerness and ability to actively share knowledge.

• Proficiency in German is required.
