This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Design Team, ensuring design excellence while keeping the team organized and supported.
• Evaluate design outputs prior to reaching Account Managers or clients, offering constructive feedback.
• Identify design challenges related to hierarchy, contrast, call-to-action elements, image-to-text ratios, and mobile usability.
• Guide Account Managers on visual campaign needs and challenge weak or inappropriate briefs.
• Engage in hands-on design work when necessary due to workload demands.
• Uphold consistency across various client brands, niches, and visual identities.
• Establish and uphold standards for email and SMS campaigns, advertisements, GIFs, and short video content.
• Comprehend client brand identities and provide insights on ideas, enhancements, and optimizations.
• Allocate and manage the weekly workload for the team based on assigned responsibilities.
• Readjust priorities when situations change and redistribute workloads to avoid missed deadlines.
• Serve as the primary contact for resolving team obstacles.
• Ensure design objectives for client accounts are achieved.
• Conduct group calls and regular one-on-one meetings.
• Gather, address, and communicate feedback regarding team suggestions and concerns.
• Mentor designers and assist less experienced team members.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new designers.
• Foster connections between Design and other service teams through workshops, tutorials, and documentation.
• Organize training and skill enhancement sessions.
• Identify and enhance inefficient workflows, handoffs, and communication processes.
• Document and maintain team procedures.
• Monitor Figma updates and implement useful features.
• Stay updated on design and email marketing trends, sharing relevant insights.
• Introduce industry best practices to the Service Director and team.
• Manage projects assigned by the Service Director.
• Report directly to the Service Director and collaborate with Account Managers and other departments at Hustler Marketing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a graphic designer, including at least 3 years focused on email marketing design.
• Proficient in Figma, particularly in building and utilizing component libraries.
• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite or Affinity.
• Experience in creating advertisement images, animated GIFs, and short video edits.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating effective, on-brand design work for diverse clients, stores, and niches.
• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or coordinating other designers.
• Capability to review design work and provide specific, actionable written feedback.
• Competence in managing and reorganizing the team's weekly workload, including with short notice.
• Basic knowledge of web design and landing pages is an advantage.
• Experience with Klaviyo or a similar email marketing platform is a plus.
• Proficient with Slack, Asana, Hubstaff, Google Workspace, and Figma.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience working remotely, preferably with a team distributed across different time zones.
• Must be available and responsive during office hours Monday to Friday between 3 and 6 PM Barcelona time.
• Committed to working 30 to 35 hours weekly, equivalent to 140 hours monthly.
• Must have a stable internet connection, a laptop or PC, and the ability to join video calls.
• Expected to commit to full-time work.
• Contractor status following the signing of a non-disclosure agreement.
• Exclusivity agreement to prevent holding a similar position elsewhere while employed at Hustler Marketing.
• Fixed monthly salary paid in USD.
• Performance evaluations conducted every 9 to 12 months, with the initial review occurring after 3 to 6 months.
