Design Lead – Global Navigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and oversee a high-performing team comprising approximately 3 individual-contributor product designers.

• Establish and manage foundational navigation components, interaction patterns, and user journeys across global enterprise platforms and brands.

• Collaborate with platform and software engineering teams to scale navigation patterns across various technical architectures and device breakpoints.

• Advocate for design in structural, enterprise-level governance decisions that impact product and engineering teams.

• Conduct alignment reviews with brand and business-unit partners to promote the adoption of global design standards.

• Drive the overarching user-experience strategy and architectural framework for global navigation within a worldwide pharmaceutical company’s digital ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Communications, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 7 years of progressive product design experience.

• At least 2 years of direct people management or team lead experience overseeing individual contributors.

• Experience in addressing complex, cross-cutting platform or design system challenges within a large, matrixed enterprise environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Proven history of managing and mentoring individual contributor designers.

• A robust portfolio showcasing systems-level UX architecture and pattern governance across multi-product settings.

• Ability to navigate complex cross-functional stakeholders and exert influence without direct authority.

• Hands-on proficiency with contemporary enterprise design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or heavily regulated enterprise environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and enterprise design systems is preferred.
