Design Engineer – Renewables, Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize standard engineering methodologies, procedures, and criteria to execute engineering assignments.

• Assist in civil, structural, and electrical design processes as required.

• Create comprehensive and precise plans, specifications, and observation reports.

• Suggest modifications to development standards and design elements to enhance quality.

• Strategically plan and achieve project objectives leveraging experience and judgment.

• Tackle design issues through field investigations or observations.

• Address inconsistencies among various information sources.

• Conduct civil site design computations and calculations.

• Uphold a value engineering approach throughout the stages of development, design, and construction.

• Collaborate with business and engineering personnel across various markets and technical sectors.

• Engage with clients to comprehend technical requirements and pinpoint viable solutions.

• Exhibit innovative thinking and take ownership of design initiatives.

• Facilitate the development, design, and execution of renewable energy projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.

• Registration as a Civil Engineering-In-Training (EIT) is required.

• A minimum of 3-5+ years of civil engineering experience is essential.

• 1-2 years of experience in the design and development of renewable energy projects is preferred.

• Knowledge of large-scale site grading design, modifications to existing civil designs, and earthwork calculations is required.

• Familiarity with erosion and sediment control methods and temporary stormwater management techniques is highly desirable.

• Experience in detailed design of renewable facilities with intricate topographical, environmental, and non-participating infrastructure challenges is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

• Proven skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Relevant military experience will be considered.
