Design Engineer – Bridge

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare various elements of design calculations under supervision

• Conduct different aspects of quantity calculations with guidance

• Develop components of cost estimates with oversight

• Generate various aspects of plans with supervision

• Collaborate and coordinate with other internal teams

• Assist in compiling Supplements, Proposals, and Engineer’s Reports

• Adhere to deadlines

• Notify Project Team Leaders promptly upon discovering any issues on a project

• Safeguard the confidentiality of information pertaining to clients and company practices

• Perform additional duties as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, or the ability to obtain it within 12 months

• Engineer Intern registration in the State of Indiana, or the ability to secure it within 12 months

• Entry-level position

• Capable of working independently with guidance

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills necessary for teamwork

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Familiarity with the Indiana Design Manual, the INDOT Specifications Book, and the INDOT Standard Drawings

• Proficient with computers and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, ACAD, and structural design software

• Capable of working seated for 9 or more hours per workday

• Willing to work 40 or more hours per workweek as required

• Able to work outdoors on uneven or challenging terrain

• Willing to travel throughout Indiana, including overnight stays

• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license
