Desarrollador Backend, Java, Quarkus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Design and develop microservices using Java 21 and Quarkus.

• Build secure and scalable REST APIs.

• Apply principles of Clean Architecture and design patterns.

• Implement tests following a TDD approach.

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Deploy solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Actively participate in agile teams under Scrum methodology.

• Conduct code reviews and document technical decisions.

• Engage in the design and development of backend solutions for a financial sector project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Java 21.

• Familiarity with Quarkus.

• Background in microservices.

• Experience with REST APIs.

• Proficiency in TDD.

• Knowledge of Clean Code principles.

• Understanding of design patterns.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of GitLab and Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with OWASP (preferred).

• Educational background in Systems Engineering, Software or related fields.

• Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional Java, AWS Developer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, CKAD, or Professional Scrum Developer (a plus).

• TDD — Expert level.

• Java 21 — Expert level.

• REST APIs — Expert level.

• SQL and NoSQL — Expert level.

• Quarkus — Intermediate level.

• Spanish — Native proficiency.
