This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 6-10 representatives in the designated region.
• Manage hiring processes, provide live and virtual coaching, facilitate representative development, oversee performance management, and allocate priority account assignments.
• Create and execute strategic initiatives, district business strategies, and budget plans.
• Organize, plan, and assess business performance at both district and regional levels.
• Ensure effective application and execution of promotional and marketing strategies in the field.
• Proactively analyze data to identify emerging market trends.
• Recognize, motivate, and cultivate key account opportunities that impact regional and national business.
• Establish relationships with customers, KOLs, key stakeholders, channel partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Foster external advocacy and engage in community outreach efforts.
• Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and integrity standards during execution.
• Coach representatives on engaging customers across functions and utilizing digital tools effectively.
• Schedule and lead meetings with district management, channel partners, and cross-functional collaborators.
• Work alongside Marketing to develop strategies, business imperatives, objectives, and the annual operational plan.
• Lead partnerships across functions to address patient service needs and enhance face-to-face selling.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, portfolios, disease states, and market dynamics.
• Utilize digital and virtual tools while leveraging analytics such as 360-degree customer insights.
• Conduct virtual engagements utilizing structured agendas, follow-ups, and advanced communication skills.
• Manage time and engagement across both in-person and virtual interactions in a hybrid setting.
• Guide and advise representatives on selling techniques, product knowledge, capabilities, and business planning.
• Maintain oversight of individual sales representatives' planning processes.
• Implement and uphold district standards consistently.
• Apply situational leadership and diverse coaching methods to support team development.
• Cultivate team culture, engagement, morale, feedback, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Establish team objectives and hold team members accountable for performance, compliance, technology utilization, and virtual engagement goals.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role with demonstrated effectiveness across peer and customer groups.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales is preferred.
• Background working with key thought leaders or influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to foster internal and external relationships.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Candidates with any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citations within the last 7 years will be disqualified from employment.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, coach others, and guide colleagues to achieve significant outcomes and business impact.
• An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Preference for candidates with 5 or more years of people management experience.
• Competence in developing and motivating others, leading through change, and fulfilling Pfizer’s business imperatives.
• Specialty experience and expertise are strongly preferred.
• Ability to develop and enhance team expertise across a broader content portfolio.
• A mindset geared towards cross-functional collaboration.

• Additional training in digital and L&C for personal compliance and to lead by example.
• Act as a model and leader for change, agility, and adaptability.
• Enhanced proficiency with virtual and digital tools/platforms.
