Derivatives Middle Office Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete lifecycle of trades from capture to confirmation, ensuring precise booking, counterparty affirmation, documentation, auditing, and archiving.

• Oversee cash and security settlements for derivative products and address any exceptions with both counterparties and internal teams.

• Handle daily collateral and margin processes for both bilateral and cleared derivatives.

• Review margin calls and resolve any discrepancies that arise.

• Reconcile positions, cash, collateral, and valuations effectively.

• Investigate breaks and maintain supporting evidence trails for internal controls, audits, and regulatory reporting.

• Identify opportunities to streamline manual tasks and enhance straight-through processing.

• Develop automation, dashboards, and data-analysis solutions utilizing Python, SQL, Power BI, or VBA.

• Create spreadsheet models and workflows that align with operational requirements.

• Collaborate with Trading, Treasury, Risk, Accounting, Legal, and Technology teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in finance that closely aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to adapt swiftly in a dynamic work environment.

• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Python, VBA, Git or GitHub, Bloomberg, or Murex (considered a plus).

• Previous internship experience in treasury or banking (considered a plus).

• A GitHub portfolio or personal projects that showcase technical skills (considered a plus).

• Progress toward certifications like the CFA, FRM, or other relevant technical qualifications (considered a plus).
