Delivery Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to enhance the adoption and growth of the Databricks platform.

• Elevate technical accountability and assist complex customers in maximizing workload utilization, platform value, and return on investment.

• Foster growth within assigned customers and use cases by leading stakeholders, building executive relationships, and orchestrating specialized Databricks teams.

• Act as the post-sale technical lead for all Databricks products.

• Engage with Solutions Architects to gain insights into use-case demand plans.

• Direct the technical account strategy and execution for strategic accounts following technical success.

• Maintain technical leadership for use cases and customers across sales teams and internal stakeholders.

• Facilitate onboarding, enablement, success, go-live, and effective workload consumption.

• Serve as the primary contact for production and go-live technical inquiries or issues.

• Utilize Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding/Technical Services, Support, and expert technical resources.

• Develop and implement plans to expedite use cases into production and coordinate Professional Services proposals.

• Work alongside Product and Engineering teams for product innovations, private previews, and upgrades.

• Create execution plans that encompass production use cases, enablement, product adoption, cloud cost management, tuning, optimization, and governance.

• Provide KPI updates to the Technical GM regarding usage, customer health, investment status, risks, product adoption, and use-case progression.

• Report directly to a DSA Manager within Field Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience responsible for delivering technical projects or programs in Data and AI.

• Programming proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala.

• Experience in customer-facing roles such as pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting.

• Knowledge of solution architecture related to distributed data systems.

• Ability to attribute business value and outcomes to project deliverables.

• Experience in technical program or project management, including accountability for account, stakeholder, and resource management.

• Proven ability to resolve complex escalations with senior customer executives.

• Experience in conducting open-ended discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, performing business analysis, and managing complex programs/projects.

• A history of exceeding quota, goals, or similar objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% when necessary.
