Delivery Director – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership support during scheduled leaves.

• Oversee delivery across a range of client projects.

• Collaborate with Growth and executive leadership on proposals, business development efforts, and client expansions.

• Create delivery strategies, scopes of work, staffing plans, timelines, and financial assumptions.

• Contribute operational insights, delivery strategies, and risk management to pitch teams.

• Draft and assist the Executive Producer with Statements of Work (SOWs).

• Lead contract negotiations and ensure the successful initiation of new projects.

• Deliver client engagements punctually, within budget, and consistently maintain high quality standards.

• Align delivery strategies with business objectives, financial viability, staffing, and client satisfaction.

• Analyze scopes, staffing plans, timelines, and forecasts to identify risks and develop recovery strategies.

• Enhance operational systems, delivery practices, and team rituals.

• Support delivery leaders in navigating complex client scenarios, escalations, and operational challenges.

• Collaborate with Growth, Finance, Staffing, and discipline leaders on forecasting, resource management, and portfolio health.

• Mentor and assist Executive Producers and other delivery leaders.

• Enhance delivery operations through tools, documentation, AI-driven workflows, and process enhancements.

• Drive transformation while balancing immediate business requirements with long-term operational advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in leading delivery organizations, PMOs, or production teams within a digital agency, consultancy, or product organization.

• Proven experience managing a portfolio of complex digital projects rather than solely individual assignments.

• Strong operational and financial expertise, including forecasting, staffing, utilization, margins, and delivery planning.

• Experience in developing scalable delivery systems, operational frameworks, and team processes.

• Background in collaborating on new business initiatives, including proposals, scoping, staffing strategies, estimating, and client presentations.

• Strong commercial insight balancing client objectives, delivery excellence, team well-being, and business results.

• Exceptional judgment in navigating ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and executive-level decision-making.

• Experience in mentoring managers and cultivating high-performing delivery teams.

• Proficient in building client partnerships.

• Interest in emerging technologies and AI, with a focus on enhancing tools and workflows.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.

• Contract compensation ranging from $75 to $90 per hour.

• Benefits may be accessible in accordance with applicable laws and company policies, subject to eligibility based on hours worked and assignment duration.

• Regional pay ranges adjusted according to the cost of living (US1 +15%, US2 +7.5%, US3 Base).
