This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, test, and deploy database products in a cloud environment.
• Design and create moderately complex data models.
• Develop and implement data products that support business requirements.
• Analyze informational needs, data relationships, attributes, data flow, storage requirements, and reporting capabilities.
• Define logical attributes and interrelationships and design appropriate data structures.
• Test applications utilizing database management or general programming software.
• Collect system metrics to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop performance enhancements with quantifiable benchmarks.
• Monitor data products in collaboration with DBA and Production Services teams.
• Oversee database design and modeling throughout all project phases.
• Prepare technical designs that align with business requirements and IT strategy and architecture.
• Assess new technologies and create proposals for new IT services, pilots, and production applications.
• Work with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment.
• Consult with senior colleagues on specific projects.
• Mentor junior Database Engineers.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of Data Management experience with a focus on proposing and documenting technology solutions, alongside development experience in database architecture and data integration.
• Over 5 years of hands-on development experience with data, advanced engineering principles, and analytics development.
• Proficient in SQL (any variant).
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying data warehouses or relational, analytical, or multidimensional data marts.
• Knowledge of Virtual Data Warehousing or Snowflake DWaaS.
• Expertise in Relational Database Management Systems and advanced SQL skills.
• Skilled in Extract/Load/Transform (ELT) development.
• Experience in building data pipelines on Azure while adhering to cloud deployment best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues in extensive datasets containing billions of records.
• Capable of collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders in business requirements meetings, technical whiteboarding sessions, and SQL coding/debugging activities.
• Proficient in managing assignments, responsibilities, and intake requests to arrive at logical and conclusive solutions.
• Familiar with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
