Database Administrator III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Suggest and implement enhancements to database technologies by analyzing trends, assessing architectures, and applying solutions to boost efficiency and scalability.

• Manage updates; track performance and security; direct technical processes; validate outcomes; and modify configurations.

• Conduct proactive performance evaluations and regular optimization through diagnostics, tuning techniques, and system adjustments.

• Adhere to information security policies; manage access; review permissions; establish controls; and audit activities.

• Oversee vendor relationships; manage deliverables and quality; negotiate project scopes; supervise execution; and verify solutions.

• Design, implement, and oversee backup, restore, and monitoring procedures.

• Lead database migration initiatives, including transitions to cloud environments.

• Develop process automation and enhance operational routines.

• Perform additional duties associated with the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Availability to work from 3:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. (200 hours).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or a related discipline.

• Experience working with Oracle databases.

• Completed graduate specialization in Computer Science or a related area is advantageous.

• Oracle database certifications are beneficial.

• Familiarity with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, including replication, clusters, and cloud environments (AWS), is a plus.

• Understanding of performance management, SQL, automation, backup routines, updates, and highly intricate procedures is an asset.

• Knowledge of Linux, UNIX (AIX), and Windows operating systems is advantageous.
