Database Administrator, DBA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Database Administrator within an agile scrum team that supports web applications for a federal government client.

• Participate in all agile ceremonies.

• Complete user stories by their designated deadlines as part of two-week sprints.

• Aid in optimizing database infrastructure and enhancing performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of overall experience in database development.

• Familiarity with Oracle databases hosted in Amazon RDS instances and strong proficiency in SQL.

• Experience in creating new and modifying existing stored procedures, scripts, and triggers.

• Capability in writing batch jobs and querying intricate databases.

• Proven ability to collaborate with development teams to enhance query performance and resolve related issues.

• Experience in establishing users/roles and database instances both locally and in higher environments.

• Understanding of IT security measures and best practices in database management.

• Strong familiarity with RDBMS systems.

• Proficiency in writing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL queries.

• Knowledge of SQL development tools such as SQL Developer and TOAD.

• Excellent statistical, analytical, and conceptual thinking capabilities.

• Ability to swiftly adapt and realign priorities to meet stringent deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and multitasking skills.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain DHS suitability, requiring US Citizenship.

• Must validate identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon employment.
