Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Set up, configure, and manage an Oracle DBMS within the Contractor’s development environment.

• Set up, configure, and manage an Oracle Client.

• Set up, configure, and manage Oracle GoldenGate.

• Oversee the monitoring of Oracle components.

• Establish replication groups.

• Identify and resolve cluster and interconnect errors.

• Execute Oracle RMAN backup and restoration processes.

• Enhance SQL performance, troubleshoot problems, and oversee resource management.

• Maintain data integrity, security, and performance standards.

• Strategize and implement release changes for ongoing database optimization.

• Provide advice and support to the development team regarding database-related inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of database architecture and theory.

• In-depth expertise in database optimization and performance tuning.

• Comprehensive knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).

• Advanced understanding of Oracle cluster technology (RAC).

• Profound knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate.

• Expert knowledge of disaster recovery and database backup protocols.

• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux).

• A minimum of 5 years of proven practical experience.

• Located in Germany.

• Fluent in both oral and written German (C2 level required).

• Proficient in English at a satisfactory level.
