This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary technical data authority for Rula’s newly established Trust and Safety team.
• Safeguard the platform while assessing healthcare claims.
• Ensure that operations comply with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze billing trends and detect data irregularities.
• Provide clear analytical insights to legal and compliance stakeholders.
• Execute queries on extensive, intricate datasets and implement medical coding standards.
• Develop proactive models and protective measures.
• Maintain Rula’s legal integrity and ensure patient care is prioritized.
• Report directly to the Senior Analytics Manager of Business Intelligence.
• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, data science, or forensic data analysis.
• Advanced expertise in SQL and Python/R.
• Proven experience in querying large datasets, constructing data logic, and detecting systemic anomalies.
• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Hex, or Mode.
• Capability to create automated risk-monitoring systems and compliance dashboards.
• Demonstrated ability to convert complex technical data findings into straightforward risk assessments for non-technical leadership and legal teams.
• Extensive knowledge of data integrity auditing methodologies.
• Experience in identifying discrepancies, gaps, or historical anomalies within complex data systems.
• Previous experience in healthcare compliance, legal operations, or Trust & Safety is preferred.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, or HCPCS codes and health insurance reimbursement processes is preferred.
• Experience with healthcare claims data is preferred.
• Background in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments is preferred.
• Ability to align analytics insights with corporate risk mitigation strategies is preferred.
• Must reside in the United States; Rula is currently not recruiting in Hawaii.
