Data Scientist – Senior, Junior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop analytics pipelines that convert modeled outputs into automated reporting concerning public opinion and voter behavior.

• Create data visualizations and R-based deliverables to effectively communicate modeled results to audiences with less technical expertise.

• Conduct data analysis utilizing regressions and other statistical methodologies to address inquiries from political strategists and clients.

• Design and administer new research instruments, monitor and evaluate returns, and produce actionable guidance.

• Provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders and clarify nuances in model outputs.

• Establish subject-matter context and differentiate genuine trends from potential anomalies for machine learning data scientists.

• Offer product feedback on infrastructure to engineers and machine learning data scientists.

• Contribute innovative ideas for analyzing, interpreting, and conveying data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.

• Capability to quickly adapt to new datasets, execute exploratory analysis, identify data quality concerns, and rationalize decisions regarding imperfect data.

• Strong background in R programming, or considerable experience in Python with a willingness to learn R.

• Familiarity with GitHub or other version control systems.

• Experience in deriving insights from data, crafting narratives, and creating effective visualizations using ggplot, matplotlib, or similar tools.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in a remote working environment.

• A creative, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to open-ended research questions.

• Willingness and capability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including engineers, machine learning data scientists, statisticians, and political experts.
