Data Scientist, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain fraud detection models throughout the entire model development lifecycle, which encompasses data acquisition, feature engineering, labeling, training, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.

• Establish foundational modeling for Fraud and Financial Risk products.

• Conduct research on emerging fraud types and create identity verification products.

• Refine research and development processes, integrate new data sources, and innovate feature engineering.

• Produce production-ready code for real-time decision-making by partners.

• Design, execute, and present analyses that inform data acquisition, product development, risk operations, marketing, and sales strategies.

• Collaborate with engineering, risk operations, and data acquisition teams to access essential data, uphold data quality, and facilitate data access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience along with a relevant PhD, or at least 4 years of relevant work experience paired with a relevant Master’s degree.

• Demonstrated success in addressing complex or high-profile business challenges using data science or machine learning solutions.

• Experience in communicating outcomes and progress to senior management and stakeholders.

• Strong end-to-end data science development experience, from planning and establishing success criteria to delivering solutions.

• Robust practical knowledge of machine learning and statistics.

• A keen interest in developing deep domain expertise for product-oriented tasks.

• Experience in writing production code and developing tests.

• A detail-oriented and deliberate approach to impactful business decisions.

• Background working in a startup environment.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the U.S.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced setting while tackling diverse, high-impact, open-ended challenges.

• Familiarity with identity solutions, fintech, or related industries is an advantage.

• Technologies: Proficiency in Python 3, PostgreSQL, and AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Redshift.
