This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Spearhead data science projects within the Digital Operations team, focusing on Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality.

• Oversee and guide citizen data scientists throughout the various stages of data science initiatives.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, define, and prioritize project scopes.

• Establish methods for data collection, modeling techniques, and anticipated results.

• Manage projects from inception to completion, adapting models as business requirements change.

• Develop and uphold governance principles and best practices.

• Create predictive, prescriptive, machine learning, simulation, and statistical models.

• Conduct data discovery utilizing advanced machine learning and statistical methodologies.

• Lead the development of scalable data pipelines and incorporate model performance management tools.

• Access, integrate, cleanse, transform, and preprocess data sourced from SQL databases and other systems.

• Employ clustering, PCA, classification, regression, and unsupervised learning techniques.

• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams for the deployment and monitoring of production ML models.

• Establish best practices for ML production infrastructure.

• Monitor and refine deployed models to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Identify and prioritize AI/ML opportunities that align with operational goals.

• Stay updated on advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, integrating relevant innovations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required.

• A Master’s Degree in Data Science is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing citizen data scientists.

• Specialization in machine learning, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, or data science.

• Knowledge of and experience with agile methodologies.

• Experience applying machine learning and data science across business functions such as forecasting, production planning, financial risk analytics, logistics, marketing analytics, and warehouse management.

• Proven track record of launching significant data science projects.

• Capability to develop and implement strategies that support business objectives.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all organizational levels.

• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
