This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Act as the Product Owner for an Agile team focused on preparing operational and sustainment data for digital and AI initiatives.

• Establish the product vision, roadmap, and value delivery while managing and prioritizing the backlog.

• Lead the development and implementation of Data-as-a-Product frameworks, ownership models, data quality standards, metadata standards, and lifecycle management.

• Identify essential business processes and datasets necessary for AI readiness, including profiling, gap assessment, cleansing, and transformation needs.

• Collect requirements, convert stakeholder needs into data specifications, and ensure solutions fulfill user and regulatory requirements.

• Convert business requirements into prioritized user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.

• Advocate for data quality, lineage, governance, accessibility, and the adoption of enterprise data platforms and standards.

• Collaborate with AI and digital engineering teams on machine learning, predictive analytics, automation, and modernizing digital workflows.

• Work with data architects, engineers, scientists, analysts, and product owners to ensure data is suitable for its intended use.

• Address complex multidisciplinary data challenges with innovative and scalable solutions.

• Report program status, risks, and strategic implications to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Analyze feedback and sprint results to refine data readiness processes and manage the backlog effectively.

• Coach and mentor team members while promoting a high-performing, collaborative, data-driven culture.

• Shape the structure, governance, and utilization of sustainment data to facilitate AI-driven insights across Military Engine sustainment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in engineering, digital technology, analytics, or data management, or an Advanced Degree with 7 years of such experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Product Owner, Agile Lead, Scrum Master, or in a similar leadership capacity.

• At least 2 years of strong knowledge in Data as a Product, data governance, data lifecycle management, and data quality principles.

• A minimum of 2 years of practical knowledge of AI, machine learning concepts, and digital technologies.

• At least 2 years of demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and achieve results in dynamic and ambiguous settings.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in influencing multiple levels and effectively communicating with senior leaders.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• May require access to systems/tools limited to individuals holding U.S. citizenship.

• Preferred: experience in Aerospace, Military Engines, Sustainment Operations, or similar high-reliability engineering environments.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms, data cataloging, data lineage tools, or cloud-based analytics ecosystems.

• Preferred: background in process modeling, system integration, digital transformation, or enabling AI/ML models.

• Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent Agile certification.

• Preferred: experience in translating business strategy into data-centric product roadmaps and measurable execution plans.

• Preferred: ability to develop new processes, standards, and solutions leveraging industry best practices.

• Preferred: degree in data science or data analytics.
