This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Establish the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data products.
• Recognize high-value opportunities based on business requirements, data landscapes, and organizational priorities.
• Oversee the complete data product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, launch, and iteration.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to create scalable pipelines, models, and data services.
• Ensure adherence to data quality, governance, lineage, metadata, and documentation standards.
• Convert business logic into data transformations, metadata, and domain-specific regulations.
• Act as the main point of contact between technical teams and DCYF business stakeholders.
• Establish success metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
• Ensure that data products deliver actionable insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Advocate for responsible data usage, privacy, governance, compliance, and ethical AI practices.
• Assist in transitioning from legacy mainframe systems to contemporary data lakes and platforms.
• 4–7 years of experience in data management, data analytics, data engineering, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience in Product Management or Product Leadership.
• Strong comprehension of data systems, data pipelines, data warehousing, data modeling, metadata, and data governance.
• Experience working collaboratively with Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a manner that is accessible to business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, dbt, or Google Analytics.
• Proficient in SQL, data lakes, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
• Significant experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of Java and Python.
• Experience in implementing modern data architectures.
• Background in developing internal platforms or data products aimed at developers.
• Understanding of enterprise data sharing limitations and data-sharing agreements.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment with a focus on statistical analysis and reporting.
• Current work authorization status in the United States is required.
• Full-time employment.
• Option for remote or hybrid work arrangement.
• Work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM CT, equating to 40 hours per week.
• Employment duration through August 2027.
