This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and take ownership of the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for data products, including data marts, feature stores, reporting layers, ML outputs, and self-service analytics.
• Convert business objectives into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize the product backlog based on business impact, feasibility, and timelines.
• Establish and track KPIs related to data quality, adoption, business outcomes, and SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across commercial, supply chain, finance, and operations departments.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and prioritize use cases.
• Ensure alignment between business, delivery, and technical teams.
• Serve as the point of escalation for decisions regarding scope and trade-offs.
• Communicate product updates effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coordinate product roadmaps with delivery plans in conjunction with engineering and delivery leadership.
• Create user stories, functional specifications, and data contracts.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, representing the voice of the business.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data validation processes.
• Manage changes in scope and evolving requirements.
• Identify high-value CPG and retail use cases in areas such as commercial analytics, demand planning, trade promotion, category management, and supply chain visibility.
• Assist clients in transforming raw data into governed data products.
• Promote adoption through initiatives focused on data literacy and change management.
• Contribute to pre-sales efforts with frameworks for use cases and ROI-driven narratives.
• Establish standards for ownership, lineage, SLAs, access, and documentation.
• Ensure the scalability, governance, and monitoring of data products.
• Support data stewardship models and policies for self-service.
• Integrate data quality controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or data consulting.
• More than 2 years of experience with data/analytics products.
• Proven experience in defining data pipelines, BI/analytics, or ML-driven solutions in client-facing roles.
• Strong understanding of modern data stacks, including data warehousing, modeling, APIs, and reporting layers.
• Demonstrated ability to align business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in agile environments with ownership of the backlog.
• Background in the CPG or retail domain.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of producing materials suitable for executive-level audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Practical experience with tools like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery (preferred).
• Basic SQL proficiency (preferred).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or ThoughtSpot (preferred).
• Knowledge of data governance and metadata management tools (preferred).
• Exposure to ML product workflows and lifecycle management (preferred).
