This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of a data domain, encompassing processing, validation, tagging, modeling, and usability for downstream applications.
• Create validation frameworks, monitoring systems, and quality assurance processes to enhance data quality.
• Develop reusable methodologies and establish centralized analytical frameworks that span across various business units.
• Collaborate with the Technical Product Manager and Data Engineering Manager to determine analytical and technical direction.
• Integrate new datasets in partnership with the Data Evaluation team and external data providers.
• Leverage AI, automation, and innovative tools to enhance data processing, validation, documentation, and maintenance efforts.
• Guide junior analysts and foster domain standards, processes, and a positive culture.
• Manage projects that involve receipt classification, automated quality assurance, dataset onboarding, processing architecture, and standardized business logic.
• 6–8+ years of experience in the field of data analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with Python or PySpark.
• Capability to construct dependable, reusable analytical workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly grasp complex data methodologies and develop robust data mental models.
• Experience in leading intricate, ambiguous projects with various stakeholders.
• Skill in calibrating analytical rigor according to decision stakes.
• Capacity to analyze bias and representativeness in data.
• Experience managing messy, inconsistent datasets and adapting to evolving schemas.
• Proficiency in articulating complex concepts, methodologies, risks, and tradeoffs clearly.
• Ability to influence and engage cross-functional partners effectively.
• Interest in and active use of AI tools.
• Background in financial services, management consulting, data science, high-growth technology, or another data-intensive environment.
