This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee and enhance the Bank's data governance policies, standards, and metadata practices.
β’ Assist in advancing the maturity of the data risk governance framework, incorporating data controls, standards, and processes for monitoring data quality.
β’ Work in collaboration with IT, Data Governance, and business line partners to address data-related issues and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
β’ Create, develop, and sustain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models for enterprise-wide risk reporting.
β’ Utilize Power Query, DAX, and optimized dataflows to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of reporting.
β’ Collaborate with subject matter experts and risk leaders to establish risk taxonomy, metrics, and reporting requirements.
β’ Convert intricate business needs into actionable insights and reporting solutions.
β’ Act as a Power BI subject matter expert within the Risk Division and advocate for best practices.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline (Required).
β’ A minimum of four years of relevant experience in data analysis, data governance, or risk-related positions (Required).
β’ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
β’ Previous experience in financial services is preferred.
β’ Strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard creation.
β’ Thorough understanding of data governance principles, data quality concepts, and risk management frameworks.
β’ Proficiency with structured data, SQL queries, and data preparation tools.
β’ Capability to clearly communicate complex data and risk concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
β’ Familiarity with Enterprise Risk, Model Risk, Compliance, AML/BSA, or Third-Party Risk frameworks is advantageous.
β’ 10% travel required.
