This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Lead governance workstreams and manage small delivery teams to create and execute data/AI governance programs that are actionable and sustainable.
• Cultivate client relationships within your workstream by establishing expectations, facilitating executive discussions, and ensuring alignment among business, IT, privacy, security, and legal stakeholders.
• Provide advice, present solutions, and conduct governance alternatives analysis, along with the implementation and operation of a new Collibra Data Catalog instance.
• Deliver hands-on implementation support for the Collibra Data Catalog, including prioritizing high-value features and managing work scoping.
• Design and operationalize governance operating models, incorporating council structures, data stewardship frameworks, decision escalation paths, and integrated controls across data, analytics, and AI.
• Define implementation roadmaps that bridge strategy with execution, detailing sequencing, dependency management, change management, and measurable adoption outcomes.
• Establish AI governance and responsible AI guardrails, including model and use case inventory, risk management workflows, review boards, documentation standards, third-party oversight, and ongoing compliance reporting.
• Implement tactical and functional data governance operations and controls that aid in the operationalization of program and product-level governance.
• Convert governance requirements into scalable enablement resources such as templates, playbooks, training materials, and communications that enhance adoption and minimize operational friction.
• Contribute to business growth and pursuits by assisting in proposal development, scoping, staffing plans, and the creation of reusable assets and accelerators.
• Travel as necessary based on client and project requirements.
• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD “PUBLIC TRUST”.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• SEVEN (7) or more years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility, including leadership of workstreams and oversight of junior staff.
• Proven experience leading client workstreams from start to finish, encompassing planning, facilitation, issue resolution, and executive communications.
• Proficient in configuring, architecting, advising, and executing hands-on implementation of the Collibra Data Catalog platform.
• Experience in shaping roadmaps and operating models that link governance to delivery, adoption, and measurable results.
• Background in delivering consulting or client-facing services, which includes workshops, written documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with AI governance concepts such as model risk considerations, transparency and documentation, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Willingness to travel as required based on client and project demands.
• Experience in supporting governance programs within the public sector, transportation, or other regulated environments.
• Demonstrated understanding of data governance fundamentals, including data stewardship, data lifecycle, metadata management, data quality, privacy, and access controls.
• Strong communication abilities to articulate complex topics in clear, practical language and produce polished, client-ready deliverables.
• Capability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work products in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Information Systems, Public Policy, Business, Data/Computer Science, Engineering, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with additional governance and privacy tools such as Microsoft Purview, Alation, Informatica, OneTrust, Immuta, Datadog, or similar platforms.
• Experience integrating Collibra with other platforms, including Databricks (Unity Catalog), and onboarding new data assets into the data catalog and metadata ecosystem.
• Experience in designing or facilitating AI literacy, adoption, and change management initiatives, including training plans and communications.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and delivery patterns such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, lakehouse architectures, and data products.
• Certifications in areas related to data governance, privacy, security, cloud, or analytics.
