This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and nurture the Data Engineering team across various countries and time zones.
• Supervise hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, development plans, and workload distribution.
• Take ownership of delivering the Data Engineering roadmap, which includes the migration to Microsoft Fabric warehouse, the CI/CD program, and ensuring data readiness for Salesforce Revenue Cloud go-live.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, security, and cost-effectiveness of data pipelines and warehouses.
• Maintain documented ownership for production feeds and pipelines, as well as assign cross-training responsibilities.
• Collaborate with architecture and Business Intelligence leadership to establish engineering standards, source control, deployment practices, and governance.
• Manage the centralized intake process for reporting and data requests across departments.
• Keep a prioritized backlog for Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, and communicate trade-off decisions effectively.
• Oversee the transitions between Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, while publishing delivery statuses, cycle times, and request queues.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies for both teams and work to eliminate impediments.
• Maintain the configuration, templates, and team wiki in Azure DevOps.
• Track and publish metrics related to board health and delivery.
• Represent the data function in enterprise project routing and alignment meetings.
• Report on priorities, progress, risks, capacity, cycle times, defect rates, queue lengths, and declined requests to the Director.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in data engineering, data platform, or analytics delivery, particularly with cloud data platforms and data warehouse development.
• 2–4 years of experience leading or managing technical teams, including performance management of direct reports.
• At least 2 years in a role such as product owner, product manager, scrum master, or delivery lead for a data, analytics, or internal-tools team, responsible for intake, backlog, and prioritization in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Proven experience in introducing or enhancing an Agile operating model within an existing team and organizing work in Azure DevOps or a similar tool.
• Professional Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Salesforce data (Litify, Service Cloud, or Revenue Cloud) as a source.
• Experience managing distributed teams across various time zones.
• Experience in legal services, professional services, or another regulated industry is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Python, SQL, REST APIs, source control, CI/CD, and contemporary data warehouse and ELT practices.
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery, including facilitating ceremonies, managing a backlog, and utilizing Azure DevOps or Jira for sprints, flow metrics, and boards.
• Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban methodologies.
• Strong ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and concise status updates.
• Availability from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST.
