Data Engineer – MDM, Cloud Data, Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.

• Create MDM applications utilizing Java and contemporary enterprise technologies.

• Construct and manage Master Data and Reference Data APIs.

• Ensure the quality, governance, integrity, and consistency of data.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish data standards and processes.

• Design and implement scalable cloud-based data platforms.

• Develop secure and dependable batch and near-real-time data pipelines.

• Build and optimize data integration and processing workflows.

• Monitor and resolve issues related to platform performance and reliability.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation methodologies.

• Transform raw data into reliable, analytics-ready datasets.

• Develop dimensional data models employing Kimball methodologies.

• Create reusable data products for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Implement frameworks for data quality and validation.

• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Convert business requirements into significant KPIs and visualizations.

• Enhance reporting performance, usability, and data reliability.

• Generate both high-level and detailed technical solution designs.

• Review architecture, code, data models, pipelines, APIs, and dashboards.

• Mentor team members and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Assist in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or equivalent fields.

• More than 5 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale integrated solutions.

• Strong practical experience in Java application development.

• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

• Hands-on experience in developing scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Profound knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling/Kimball methodology.

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Data Platform Services, data lakehouse architectures, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, TypeScript, REST APIs, microservices architecture, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, DevOps practices, and secure software development practices is highly desirable.

• Experience with enterprise MDM platforms, especially TIBCO EBX, is a plus.

• Certifications in Azure, Databricks, Scrum, DevOps, or Secure Coding are advantageous.

• Experience working in international and multicultural settings is a plus.

• Strong stakeholder management and consulting capabilities.

• Proven experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and business leaders.
