This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership and expand the reporting and analytics infrastructure for operational, revenue, customer, and executive decision-making.
• Create and sustain scalable SQL/dbt data models, marts, semantic layers, and reporting datasets.
• Organize, structure, and document complex or disordered data systems.
• Establish reliable reporting foundations for business teams.
• Enhance data consistency, metric governance, and reporting standards.
• Design maintainable transformations and reusable analytics layers.
• Manage production dashboards, recurring reports, KPI packs, and reporting workflows.
• Oversee and enhance BI systems across various business functions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, business logic, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and usability of dashboards.
• Facilitate self-service analytics capabilities.
• Develop or oversee automated reporting workflows and monitoring systems.
• Assist AI agents and workflow automation for reporting quality assurance, data quality, KPI generation, dashboard monitoring, reporting automation, metric documentation, and data freshness checks.
• Review automated outputs and implement QA/governance processes.
• Convert manual reporting processes into scalable automated systems.
• Implement data quality assurance, validation, monitoring, and alerting.
• Maintain data documentation, metric definitions, and reporting standards.
• Enhance observability and trust in reporting systems.
• Proactively troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and data issues.
• 3–6 years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, reporting engineering, data analytics, data modeling, reporting automation, or related fields.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Strong practical experience with dbt.
• Experience in building SQL tables, marts, semantic layers, reporting datasets, and transformation pipelines.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, Sigma, Hex, Mode, or similar.
• Experience maintaining dashboards and recurring reports in production settings.
• Background in data QA, monitoring, and reporting automation.
• Strong documentation practices and a QA-oriented mindset.
• Capability to independently manage reporting infrastructure and workflows.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS is a plus.
• Familiarity with HubSpot data, CRM data, revenue operations, customer success data, payments, or transaction data is a plus.
• Experience with KPI governance and metric definition is a plus.
• Experience in data freshness monitoring and alerting is a plus.
• Experience with AI tools or workflow automation involving OpenAI, Anthropic, n8n, AI agents, reporting bots, dashboard QA agents, or workflow orchestration is a plus.
• Experience in automating manual reporting workflows is a plus.
