Data Engineer, Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify reputable data sources and establish requirements for ingestion, transformation, storage, access, retention, and quality.

• Create automated data pipelines and reusable data services that enhance workflow, security, ATO, and operational automation.

• Design data models, schemas, mappings, validation rules, lineage, metadata, and controls for data quality.

• Generate analytics datasets, metrics, dashboards, and reporting components that provide insights into status, trends, exceptions, and support decision-making.

• Integrate data capabilities with APIs, customer repositories, authorized cloud services, and DevSecOps workflows.

• Collaborate with security personnel to implement access controls, logging, encryption, and other security measures.

• Automate the testing and monitoring of data pipelines.

• Document designs, dependencies, operating procedures, and data definitions.

• Assist a federal client by converting operational, development, security, and assessment data into dependable information for automation, monitoring, and decision support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of pertinent experience.

• Experience in developing data pipelines, transformations, models, analytics, or reporting capabilities in enterprise or cloud settings.

• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language relevant to data engineering.

• Familiarity with data quality, lineage, access controls, automated testing, and integration with APIs or operational systems.

• Capability to obtain a 6c Public Trust clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Active Secret clearance is highly preferred.

• Preferred skills include AWS data services, Python, SQL, ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling and lineage, dashboards/analytics tools, GitLab CI/CD, and API-based data integration.
