Data Conversion Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the complete conversion process of healthcare payer data across platforms such as legacy systems and HealthRules Payer / GuidingCare.

• Act as the subject matter expert for the Claims, Enrollment, Provider, and Authorizations data domains.

• Examine payer data patterns, conduct data profiling, and establish transformation and mapping guidelines.

• Create and implement phased conversion strategies that include mock runs, parallel runs, and full-volume loads.

• Facilitate workflow and gap analysis sessions; pinpoint data inconsistencies and develop resolution strategies.

• Write, update, and unit-test Python and SQL code for data conversion.

• Design ETL processes encompassing data extracts, loading logic, stored procedures, workflows, and data mappings.

• Uphold naming standards and keep data dictionaries and conversion model documentation current.

• Manage post-installation testing and rectify conversion errors prior to go-live.

• Organize and lead client and user review sessions; implement modifications based on feedback received.

• Communicate conversion progress, risks, and resolution of issues to clients.

• Generate documentation that outlines transformation rules, mapping specifications, profiling insights, and validation reports.

• Collaborate with project managers, business teams, and onshore/offshore stakeholders.

• Mentor junior team members regarding conversion processes, best practices, and technical standards.

• Create reusable conversion assets, accelerators, and knowledge repositories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Only US Citizens or Green Card holders are eligible to apply.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Healthcare Payer data domains, specifically in Claims, Enrollment, or Provider.

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a Business or Technical discipline.

• At least 12 years of experience in technology integrations, with 7 years in technical leadership positions.

• Practical experience in leading data conversion or data migration projects, including mock, parallel, and full-volume execution phases.

• Experience in ETL design and implementation across extract, transform, and load phases.

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction, validation, transformation, and profiling (SQL Server or equivalent).

• Experience working within an onshore/offshore delivery model.

• Hands-on experience with Python for data extraction and automation of conversion routines.

• Experience in bulk data loading.

• Strong communication skills to effectively present conversion status, risks, and outcomes to clients and senior management.

• Experience collaborating in a team setting with onshore/offshore technical resources.

• Preferred: experience in architecting software or data solutions and applying architecture governance principles.

• Preferred: familiarity with HealthRules Payer (HRP) or similar platforms.

• Preferred: experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid programs, including CMS data structures and compliance requirements.

• Preferred: experience in EDI transaction processing — 837P, 837I, and 834.

• Preferred: experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or equivalent platforms.

• Preferred: experience with BI or reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, or equivalent.

• Preferred: exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP; Architect or Big Data certification.

• Preferred: knowledge of data visualization tools and dashboard design.

• Preferred: understanding of backup, archival, and data recovery specifications.

• Ability to work across various time zones.
