Data Center Mechanical Technical Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Supervise the design of mechanical system enhancements and retrofits for Post Facility Ready.

• Assemble design teams comprising both internal stakeholders and external partners/providers.

• Facilitate the development of collaborative execution plans.

• Oversee design services offered by external teams in support of construction efforts.

• Identify stakeholders and formulate strategies, plans, and priorities for objectives and success criteria.

• Estimate task durations and synchronize schedules and dependencies.

• Monitor progress and communicate risks effectively.

• Recommend mitigation strategies and ensure stakeholder alignment on risk reduction approaches.

• Measure and disseminate program and process metrics.

• Implement best practices derived from various processes and technologies.

• Transform ambiguous projects into long-term objectives.

• Build and foster efficient program teams throughout the organization.

• Coordinate timelines, goals, and deliverables across interconnected projects and teams.

• Manage escalations and eliminate hurdles.

• Develop program communication strategies and represent programs at various touchpoints.

• Define program phasing, metrics, governance frameworks, and data needs.

• Maintain project trackers and status updates.

• Manage dependencies and establish program charters, objectives, milestones, scope, timelines, OKRs, resources, risks, and dependencies.

• Lead stakeholder meetings and formulate change management rollout strategies.

• Create project plans with distinct phases, risks, dependencies, and constraints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience in industrial or commercial HVAC systems.

• Preferred experience with evaporative and air-based process chilled water cooling systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and associated technical fields.

• Knowledge of industry construction methods and techniques.

• Familiarity with mechanical cooling systems is preferred.

• Experience in construction or operation of large commercial buildings, high-rise structures, data centers, semiconductor facilities, or industrial processes is preferred.

• Strong planning and communication management capabilities.

• Proficient in continuous improvement, execution, organizational change, and stakeholder management.

• A Master's Degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
