Accounting Technical Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for the Guesty Accounting Module.

• Assist Enterprise and Strategic clients in navigating complex accounting workflows, owner statements, and end-of-month financial procedures.

• Offer dedicated support throughout month-end closing cycles, which includes reconciliations, payouts, and statement generation.

• Evaluate enterprise accounting setups to enhance product adoption, streamline financial workflows, and boost retention.

• Collaborate with Customer Success Managers on strategic accounts to ensure technical and accounting excellence aligns with client retention and account health objectives.

• Facilitate intricate consultations to convert property management accounting needs into optimized configurations within the Guesty Accounting Module.

• Aggregate customer challenges, accounting feedback, and market needs for enhancements to the Product and Engineering roadmap.

• Serve as the main escalation point for complex issues related to accounting, ledgers, and reconciliation discrepancies.

• Lead internal training sessions on feature releases, best practices in property management accounting, and operational standards.

• Examine account cohorts and product requirements utilizing data analytics.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while advocating for enterprise financial needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of technical experience in the SaaS software industry or within a technology-driven setting.

• Extensive hands-on experience with trust accounting, property management accounting, or financial SaaS platforms.

• Proven experience managing enterprise/strategic accounts during high-pressure financial periods, such as month-end closing.

• Proficiency in API literacy.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Capability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Comprehensive functional knowledge of property management accounting, trust accounting, owner payout statements, ledgers, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.

• Solid experience navigating complex SaaS environments and mastering intricate technical use cases.

• Ability to assess customer configurations and workflows to provide optimal, scalable solutions.

• Experience working with Product teams to offer feature feedback and advocate for roadmap initiatives.

• Skill in identifying adoption gaps, enhancing customer setups, and gathering product feedback.

• Capacity to recognize trends across account cohorts and utilize data to monitor evolving product needs.

• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving tools, systems, and automations.

• Familiarity with the short-term rental market, OTA landscape, and property management software ecosystem is a plus.
