Technical Program Manager II, Infrastructure – Capacity & Efficiency

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee infrastructure capacity and efficiency initiatives at Pinterest

• Monitor program deliverables, follow up on action items, and uphold schedules

• Communicate program status and requests to engineering partners

• Work in conjunction with engineers and senior technical program managers

• Enhance infrastructure utilization, optimize sizing, and minimize waste

• Leverage GenAI to expedite planning, program operations, stakeholder communications, and decision-making

• Create sustainable, low-effort workflows, dashboards, scripts, and data-driven solutions

• Implement AI governance practices, including risk assessment, data management, output validation, and auditability

• Contribute to shaping the future of Pinterest's infrastructure

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in program or project management (or equivalent), preferably related to infrastructure, platform, or cloud environments

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or similar), including compute, storage, and fundamental usage/cost concepts

• Interest in and some experience with capacity management and infrastructure efficiency

• Strong organizational skills and ability to execute tasks effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Capacity to collaborate with engineers and senior TPMs and receive constructive feedback

• AI-first mindset, including the application of GenAI for planning, program operations, and stakeholder engagement

• Proven experience in designing sustainable, low-effort workflows and utilizing GenAI, prompting, lightweight scripts/tools, dashboards, data analysis, and agents

• Experience with AI governance, encompassing risk assessment, data management, model/output validation, auditability/traceability, and recognizing inappropriate AI use

• Preferred: background in FinOps, cost management, or capacity-focused roles

• Preferred: knowledge of SuperSet, Tableau, Grafana, or similar business intelligence tools

• Preferred: basic SQL or scripting capabilities

• Preferred: experience with distributed systems, ML/AI infrastructure, or large-scale computing environments

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
